National Peanut Brittle Day is celebrated in the United States on January 26th each year.  To celebrate, let’s take a look at what peanut brittle is and a bit about its history. Brittle is a flat, hardened sugar candy that is thought to be one of the first candies ever made in history.

The traditional peanut brittle first appeared in cookbooks around the 19th century. Peanut brittle in today’s world is one of the all-time favorite candies in the southern United States. So, today is the day you have been waiting for if you love this sweet and salty treat!
