International Hot and Spicy Food Day

International Hot and Spicy Food Day is celebrated in countries around the world on January 16th each year. Today is the day to let your tastebuds explore how hot their can handle it, more than ever. International Hot and Spicy Food Day brings some of the daredevils out in trying some of the spiciest peppers out there, such as the Carolina Reaper (pictured above) which holds the title of the hottest pepper in the world, with an unbelieveable a 2.2 million SHU ( Scoville Heat Unit). Just to think how hot this pepper is that the jalapeno pepper is about 5000 SHU. So, today, bring a little spice into your life, or your heat-loving passengers, and have a dish that will bring the heat to the dinner table.
