Air Culinaire Worldwide Launches Flight Crew Training Program

Orlando, Florida (October 21, 2014) – Air Culinaire Worldwide (exhibit #2225) announced at NBAA 2014 it has launched a new training program designed to provide flight crews additional knowledge on food safety, food allergies, gluten-free diets and culinary skills.

“We recognize the many challenges flight crews face, including understanding the proper way to handle food to ensure the health and safety of their passengers,” said John Detloff, Vice President of Flight Attendant Services, Air Culinaire Worldwide. “The program we have developed offers crews the opportunity to receive training that has been tailored to the unique in-flight environment. This will allow them to better manage their stakeholders’ expectations and be prepared for the unexpected, reducing the risk of a food safety issue impacting the success of their mission.”

Training sessions can be held at the flight crew’s location of choice or on-site at Air Culinaire Worldwide’s headquarters in Tampa, Florida.

“Training flight crews on the steps involved in ordering catering, and how to properly handle and store food onboard their aircraft, will help make their jobs easier and safer, positioning them for success” said Detloff.
