Event Overview & Impact
Wedding dates: June 24 – 26, 2025
High departure period: June 27 – 29
The influx of ~200 high-profile guests will put immediate pressure on airport services, local hospitality, transportation, and onboard catering coordination.
Catering Strategy & Logistics
As high-profile wedding festivities bring increased private aviation activity to Italy, Air Culinaire Worldwide is prepared to support catering needs throughout the region. While our primary base of operations is Milan Linate (LIML), we anticipate higher volumes at key airports such as Venice (LIPZ), Bergamo (LIME), Bologna (LIPE), Verona (LIPX), Brescia (LIPO), and Forlì (LIPK).
- Important Note About Venice (LIPZ)
Due to operational restrictions at Venice Airport—specifically, a maximum one-hour ground time—loading catering directly at LIPZ will be challenging. That tight timeframe must also accommodate baggage handling and passenger boarding, leaving little room for onboard catering loading.
To mitigate this, we strongly encourage flight crews to consider provisioning catering at nearby airports before flying empty into Venice to pick up passengers. Having catering already onboard upon arrival at LIPZ will streamline operations and reduce stress for flight attendants and crew alike.
- Custom Service, Standard Menus
Standard menus will remain in effect, as we expect a variety of catering needs rather than a unified event menu. Orders will be handled individually to ensure every client receives tailored attention and the highest service standards.
LIML and Milan Malpensa (LIMC) are best equipped for large orders requiring onboard offloading and ground equipment. All other listed airports can support average-sized orders, with airside or landside delivery depending on location.
We encourage early submissions for large or complex requests, especially at airports farther from Milan’s city center, to ensure seamless execution. As always, every order is managed with precision and care—don’t hesitate to reach out.
